Adult Taekwondo Classes are catered to the individual. You can start at any stage in your life and work towards building your technique and fitness.

BEGINNER CLASSES

we follow a Black Belt curriculum that gives our students the opportunity to work towards achieving a black belt in Taekwondo. Students who are successful in achieving a black belt are awarded a Kukkiwon Black Belt Certificate direct from Kukkiwon in Korea. It has been proven that Martial Arts teaches discipline, improves your strength, stamina and speed whilst increases your endorphins, improving your self-esteem.

We believe everybody deserves to feel happy and healthy and we know that it is imperative that all people have a basic knowledge of self-defence, so start your Taekwondo journey and join our family to discover the great benefits that our programs have to offer.   

SPARRING CLASS

Competition is a good way to prepare students for life. In this world rarely do individuals get ‘hand-outs’. Hard work, trying your best, taking responsibility and not giving up lead to achieving goals. We believe that people feel accomplishment from winning, however, we learn from losing. Losing isn’t fun, but it’s something that everyone experiences at some stage throughout their life. Losing at games or competitive sports obviously is not a goal but, if or when it occurs this can be used as a teaching method. A helpful tool to teach children in this situation is how to show empathy and cope with the experience of not always winning.

When students improve their skills and win the next time, they do so gracefully, in addition to this, they improve at their sport, as well as, being introduced to the concept of sportsmanship. Competition should always be healthy and positive. Teaching students to continually try even in situations where they find things difficult is imperative. Through a healthy, constructive and fun competition with others a student’s holistic development not only in their training but also in their life can be established. 

SHEKICKS

Our women’s only kickboxing and fitness program offers a great mix of fitness and technique. Muay Thai is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs” as the hands, elbows, knees and shins are all used extensively in this art. The workouts are intense, involving focus pads, kicking shields, and partner work.

Although this is not a Muay Thai or Taekwondo class, a mixed variety of drills and fitness drawn from both these art forms is utilised. Students will thrive in an energetic and welcoming environment learning the correct techniques to allow you to train confidently, strongly and most importantly correctly.
